ASK A PROVOCATIVE QUESTION ABOUT COMMON DOGMA

QUORA provides questions to prompt students to write essays on economics. I found this one HERE
QUORA’s question today is:
How is it that by the 21st century the invisible hand of "the marketplace" has been unable to come up with a decent economic model to support it or to "close the sale" sufficiently diminish the controversy over what represents an acceptable product?
Economics offers a vague body of theory that inspires little enough support for any proposed model that is sufficiently persuasive to achieve any great consensus beyond broad, stubborn disagreement and often bitter controversy.
Comment
I found this interesting as an exercise but I have no idea what they are asking for in their answer or what criteria they use to score the respondents efforts.
The statement below the question is equally interesting.
