Patently Untrue Statements Perverts an Author's Credibility
“Invisible
Hand Destroyed Bangladeshi Factory”
“The
‘invisible hand’ that Adam Smith, celebrated Whig economist, said kept the
economy producing the right products, in the right amounts, at the right
prices, is the same invisible hand that demolished the Bangladeshi sweat shop
last month.”
Comment
Where
exactly did Adam Smith write of his use of the Invisible-Hand metaphor in these
terms?
The
author destroys his own credibility by making such patently false statements. Apart from it being absolutely wrong, it
is also a blatant example of dishonest politics to do so.
