Speaking up for the Real Adam Smith

It’s always nice to note when commentators report the real views and stances of Adam Smith and not the mythical ones, such as him being an advocate of laissez faire.

Toby A. A. Heaps features in a piece by Antonia Zerbisias in Toronto Star:

“Corporate Knight promotes new-age business vision”

“His mission: to make capitalism is sustainable. In a globalized world, he hopes to educate corporate Canada so it can operate ethically, at home and abroad.

"Capitalism is about the best products and the best ideas winning. It's not about using monopoly and oligopoly and subversive pressure tactics. And when capitalism is practised that way, it gets a bad name. It would make Adam Smith roll in his grave."

Thank you Toby - and Antonia
